JEEP COMPASS INDIA Jeep is an American automobile brand which is a part of FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES. The company mainly manufactures SUV's and Off Road Vehicles. Jeep is the world's first mass manufactured SUV. Jeep was originally known under the name of WILLY JEEP was mostly supplied to the American Army as a vehicle for transport of men and materials in various army campaigns after 1941. .Production for civilians started in 1945. Jeep India commenced its operation from Rajangoan (50kms from Pune.) in June 2017 .It will be a 50:50 joint venture between FIAT AND TATA MOTORS.The factory has the capacity to produce 1.6 lakh units and 3.5 lakh engines.
